First Blog Post, First Video.

Well here it is, my first effort for Youtube, so we're off and running.

I had a lot of fun making it, and spent a surprisingly large amount of time getting it into shape!

All going well, you will see reasonably regular video's from me; at this stage I am aiming for one every two weeks. You'll be able to follow my progress, as I make a skeleton clock from scratch, using raw stock.

I will also be making other machining video's related to tool making and the like. If you're interested in home shop machining, working with metal, and making things, you're in the right place.

Please like, share and subscribe via the Clickspring Youtube channel, and if you feel really motivated, please leave me a comment. Extra bonus points if you leave questions, or some ideas for future video's you'd like to see.

Thanks for stopping by,
Chris.

Hi Chris, VERY impressed by your videos and skills !
I'm just starting out on the road to model engineering (yes I'm lucky enough to own a Myford Super7) I'm 67 years old and havn't touched a lathe since college days, although I've built up quite a collection of hand tools over the years, just waiting for the day that I set up my workshop.

Hi Chris,

Glad you are enjoying the video's. Next week I will be posting one on making a tailstock die holder for my little Sherline lathe.

I envy you the Myford. Maybe one day...!

Cheers,
Chris.

Chris,

I'm basically a woodworker. I especially love turning wood. But my desire to make a simple tool to brand my logo onto my work led me to "researching" how to turn brass ... which eventually led me to my first Clickspring video. I was hooked. Thank you for your videos and blog. They're great!
