Here is the concluding episode of the gyroscope build. If you are interested, I also wrote a little bit about the bearing design on the Make: website here. I do hope you enjoy the project, and be sure to let me know your thoughts in the comments! Thanks for dropping by, Chris. Free plans are available for download here in Imperial or Metric units

My son and I just finished building this from your plans. We had to take a few liberties. The local business I go to for metal didn't have any sufficiently large brass round. They did have a chunk of 3/4" thick copper plate, however. It looks great, but I forgot what a pain in the a$$ copper is to machine.

I'm thinking of doing this for my school machining project, but the plans do not work. Is there any way I could get them?

Matt: hopefully Chris will come back to you with an official link to the plans, but if not I've still got the ones I downloaded from him so can send them to you - it's a great project to make and sounds excellent for a school machining exercise. I don't want to post my email address on a public forum, so if Chris doesn't get back to you, send me a message at https://www.cgtk.co.uk/contact
